Tom Perkins, President

Like his grandfather and father, Tom grew up with Perkins Motor Company. He joined the business as a salesman during his college years in 1973, then moved up to Sales Manager, General Sales Manager and on to President in 1985.

Tom carries on the Perkins family values with a leadership promoting fairness, integrity and trust among employees and customers. By overseeing operations daily, Tom often gets face-to-face with customers - unlike most dealer-owners. He also ensures the positive experience doesn't end with the purchase, but continues with Perkins serving all of customers' vehicle needs.

Most notably, Tom doesn't see his or the company's role as merely to support the community's vehicle needs, but to contribute to it in a significant way. "I didn't get into the car business just to make money," he explains. "Our motivation is to be successful, but also to be a part of the community." Tom personally serves as President of the Board for the Springs Rescue Mission, as a board member for Engineering Ministries International, and as an elder in his church.  He is also very involved in various automotive and community service organizations and initiatives.
